The short version
Zenko is designed to keep your data on your device. We don't require an account, we don't sell data, and we collect as little as possible.
What we store, and where
- On your device only: the name you give Zenko, your quests and routines, focus session history, streaks, bond progress, and app settings. This data lives in the app's local storage on your phone and is included in your standard iOS device backups. It is not sent to our servers — we don't operate servers that receive it.
- Widget data: a small summary (your name, streak, and quest progress) is shared with the Zenko home-screen widget through Apple's App Group storage, entirely on your device.
- Notifications: daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We can't see them.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. We may use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, to validate purchases; it receives an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase receipts, not your name or payment information.
Analytics
We may collect anonymous usage events (for example, "onboarding completed" or "session finished") to understand which parts of the app work. These events are not tied to your name and never include the content of your quests. We do not use advertising trackers.
What we never do
- No selling or renting data, to anyone, ever.
- No ads or third-party ad trackers.
- No reading the content of your quests or routines off-device.
- No account required.
Deleting your data
Use "Start over" in Settings to wipe your progress, or simply delete the app — because your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes the data.
Children
Zenko is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be flagged inside the app.
